This construction dates initially from the 13th century. It was demolished by the earthquake of 1804, and was completely restored in 1953, where some paintings of the 18th and 19th centuries are preserved.
Of basilical design, the church comprises three naves covered by vaults and a greater chapel of square construction that is overlooked by a statue of Saint Michael, which was installed in 1939. Its main area has few decorative elements, and it contains a semicircular window and a niche.
