Nestled in the middle of a rugged region, its white, stepped houses give it a bucolic and peaceful appearance. The rustic constructions are made of stone, low in height, and retain the Arab influence, as in all the towns in the region. It still preserves its picturesque features and a harmonious appearance with impressive panoramic views. Its location at the foot of the Sierra de los Filabres allows for this.

In these mountainous lands, little cultivated due to the difficulties of the terrain and the poor quality of the tilled soil, its inhabitants managed to make subsistence agriculture their way of life, with a lot of effort and little profitability. Even today, a few plots are still in production.

Activities such as hunting, hiking and mountain biking take place during leisure time on weekends and revitalize the town's economy.
