Solar clock (Pulpi - Almeria)

Solar clock (Pulpi)

It is an ornamental structure widely visited by locals and tourists. The solar clock is a curiosity of Pulpi, and is located in the center of Amnistia Square, in the heart of town. It is the highest solar clock in Andalusia, being 7.7 meters high, and was designed by Lorenzo Lopez Ascencio. The clock was installed in October 2006.

It consists of four prism-shaped structures that emerge from a base, in which the cardinal points are indicated. These prisms, built in concrete, also have wavy shapes at the top.

In the two highest parts of the solar clock, there are solar time lines, where the light and shadow are projected that allow the clock to tell time.
