This wetland occupies an area of 57.38 hectares, forming one of the most important ecosystems in the entire province of Almeria.
It is located a few meters from the beach of Vera. Among the birds found here are the white-headed duck, the marbled teal and the squacco heron, as well as flamingos, gray herons, black-winged stilts and mallards. In the bird registry, we can find up to 50 species.
