On July 16, 2006, coinciding with the day of the patroness saint the Virgin of Carmel, this Macael white marble monument was inaugurated. It was sculpted by Roberto Manzano and is located at the end of the Garrucha Beach, next to the Fish market. It looks out to sea and represents the protection and honor of the fishermen who fish in the waters daily.
It has become a fantastic viewpoint towards the sea that is accessed through a stone walkway that is flanked by landscaped areas on each side.
