It is one of the most unique seaside promenades in the province of Almeria.

It is more than one kilometer long and features railings made of magnificent Macael white marble. The floor that is covered by distinctive red and white tiles form a unique design. The promenade is known as The Malecon, and is where there are many bars and restaurants that offer all kinds of fish and seafood.

The Promenade of Garrucha is perhaps the most beautiful area of the town, as well as the most visited. It preserves the charm of yesteryear, in which you can see a very elegant boardwalk whose construction was thought to look at the sea. The place also keeps its gardens very well preserved.

A curious fact about this site is that it has been remodelled several times. Its current design dates to 1986.
