The Baths of the Queen are located in a13th century building. It is a rectangular construction, sited at the foot of the hill on which the Aljizar Tower rises, in the place of Al-Hizan, being one of the thermal buildings of origin Arabic that are conserved in better state of the province of Almeria.
Some of the walls and part of the roof still remain, and as was characteristic in this type of public construction, it consisted of three interconnected rooms for taking baths with cold, warm and hot water.
The first nave, which has partially destroyed its roof, is the place known as the frigidarium, where very cold water baths were commonly taken. The second nave is the one that is currently in better condition and is known as the tepidarium, where one could take lukewarm baths and where remnants of a bathtub can be found. The third nave is in poor condition and is known as a caldarium, where hot water baths were taken.
