Nacimiento Travel Guide

The small village of Nacimiento is crossed by the river of the same name, one of the tributaries of the Andarax river, which it joins in the town of Alhabia.

For a long time, this picturesque town was based on the cultivation of table grapes. As a witness of that time, today one can visit the various farmhouses that surround it, built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Between the Sierra de los Filabres, Sierra Nevada, and Sierra de Baza, the village of Nacimiento is settled, subsisting from distant times on its humble but varied agriculture, which offers vegetables, barley, olive, almond, and orange trees. As for its gastronomy, the typical dishes of this municipality are characterized by their preparation "over low heat", which gives it a characteristic and traditional flavour.
