Throughout its 25 km², the territory of Urracal extends to the south of the Sierra de la Estancias. Its natural characteristics make the area the ideal space for the development of green fields and forests, which create spectacular landscape views. The town presents an original Arabic structure, due to the Muslim civilizations that developed throughout history. In its urban area, its white houses, located on different levels, stand out, while its narrow and steep streets reflect the influence of its Arab past.

Urracal knew times of great development of its agriculture, with the most common crops being olive trees and cereals. Currently, this activity is exploited at the level of small family gardens, which have added vegetables and legumes to their crops, as well as fruit trees. Like other populations in the region, Urracal has experienced strong emigration to other towns and cities that have steadily decreased their population.

Numerous monuments and ancient buildings can be visited in both the town and its surroundings. Likewise, its popular and religious festivities are maintained over time and are examples of the richness of its cultural heritage.
